Refund and cancellation policy

Last updated

When a payment for an own address is refunded, how it's paid back, and how long it takes.

1. What this covers

This policy covers payments to utsavmandal.com for an own address (yourmandal.utsavmandal.com). The free page is free, so there is nothing to refund for it.

Donations are not covered. A donation goes straight from the donor to the mandal’s own UPI ID; we never receive it, so we can’t refund it. Any donation refund is between the donor and the mandal. See the donation disclaimer.

2. Cancelling before you pay

Choosing an address holds it for you: 24 hours when you pay by UPI, 30 minutes when you pay online. You can change the name or plan, cancel the request, or simply not pay. Nothing is charged, and the name is released. A request that is never paid is cancelled automatically after 72 hours (UPI) or 2 hours (online).

3. Full refund when we can’t deliver

We refund the full amount, and start it ourselves without you having to ask, if:

  • the address you paid for can’t be given to you, for example because another mandal already has it;
  • you were charged twice for the same address;
  • a payment arrived after the request had been cancelled or had expired;
  • we can’t make your address live within 7 days of a confirmed payment because of a problem on our side.

If you prefer, we can instead help you choose another available address at no extra cost.

4. Changed your mind: 48 hours

Ask within 48 hours of your address going live (for a renewal, of the renewal’s approval) and we refund the full amount. The refund takes back what the payment bought:

  • A refund of a plan takes back every mandal on it: they all return to free, on their free links (utsavmandal.com/@your-link).
  • The address bought with the plan is released: its Verified badge is removed and the name becomes free for others to choose, unless we agree to let you keep it.
  • The other mandals’ addresses stay reserved for them, as after a plan that ends.
  • A renewal refund removes only the time it added: the plan goes back to the end date it had before, and the address stays.
  • If the payment moved a mandal off another plan that is still running, the refund puts it back on that plan, as long as that plan has room for it.
  • Refunds of one plan go newest first: a later renewal is refunded before the payment that started the plan.

Everything else on your pages — photos, diary, donations and the rest — stays.

5. When we don’t refund

  • After 48 hours of going live, except in the cases above.
  • When your plan reaches its end date and the page returns to its free link, as the plan says — on every plan, 1 month, 6 months or 1 year. There is no refund for unused days.
  • When we remove an address because the page broke our terms or community guidelines.

One more exception: if we stop your plan before its end date, for a reason that isn’t a breach of these terms, we refund you in proportion to the days you haven’t used. See the terms of use and the plans & payments page for the full plan rules.

This doesn’t take away any refund the law gives you.

6. How refunds are paid, and how long they take

  • Refunds are always of the full amount, with nothing deducted for fees. Each payment can be refunded once.
  • We start the refund within 2 working days of it becoming due.
  • Online payments go back through Cashfree Payments or Razorpay to the same card, bank account or UPI ID you paid from. Banks usually credit it within 5–7 working days. Ask us for the refund reference (ARN) to trace it with your bank.
  • UPI payments are sent back by UPI to the UPI ID the money came from, usually on the same day we start the refund.

7. How to ask

Write to support@myind.ai or message +91 72186 63309 on WhatsApp with your mandal’s link, the payment’s UTR or screenshot (the 12-digit UTR, or the screenshot of the payment) and the reason. We acknowledge within 24 hours and decide within 2 working days. If you disagree with our decision, use the grievance process.

8. If a donation went wrong

Contact the mandal first. For a payment to the wrong UPI ID, raise a dispute in your UPI app or with your bank. If you think a page is a fraud, call the national cyber-crime helpline 1930 or file at cybercrime.gov.in, and report the page to us.
