1. Donations go straight to the mandal
Before you pay, check that the name your UPI app shows for the payee is the mandal or a person you recognise from it.
2. What we don’t check
We don’t verify that a UPI ID belongs to the mandal, the mandal’s registration or accounts, or how it uses donations.
The Verified badge means the mandal bought an own address, or that our team marked it verified. It is not a check of its UPI ID, its registration or its accounts.
3. Receipts and 80G
- A pavati (receipt) from a mandal on this site is the mandal’s own record that it received your donation. It is not a tax receipt, unless the mandal is registered for it and says so on the receipt.
- An 80G deduction is possible only when the mandal is approved under section 80G of the Income-tax Act and gives you a receipt with its registration details. Most mandals are not. Ask the mandal before you rely on it.
- We don’t issue receipts or tax certificates ourselves.
4. Donor boards and totals: “as reported by the mandal”
The top-donor board, receipt totals and the “Where the money goes” summary are entered by the mandal’s own team. We don’t audit or confirm them. An “I donated” request appears only after the mandal approves it.
Donors are listed only with their consent. They are anonymous, with the amount hidden, unless they chose otherwise. A receipt link never shows a donor’s phone number or address. More in our privacy policy.
5. Refunds and problems
- Refunds of donations are between you and the mandal. We can’t reverse a UPI payment.
- Paid the wrong UPI ID or wrong amount? Raise it with the mandal, then through your UPI app or bank.
- Think a page is a fraud? Call 1930 or file at cybercrime.gov.in, and report the page to us.
6. Donating from outside India
Donations from foreign sources are regulated by the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010. A mandal without FCRA registration generally can’t accept them. Check with the mandal before you give.
