About the mandal
Tambdi Jogeshwari Ganpati is the second of Pune's five Manache Ganpati, celebrated at the temple of Tambdi Jogeshwari, the city's gramdevi. Most accounts date its public Ganeshotsav to Tilak's time in 1893, while Marathi Wikipedia gives 1883. A new eco-friendly shadu idol is made every year and immersed after ten days, and the mandal holds blood donation camps.
