Sahyadri Krida Mandal

Sahyadri Krida Mandal is a Tilak Nagar sports club, founded in 1976 according to its website, that began a sarvajanik Ganeshotsav in the late 1970s. It is known for large replica sets, such as the Red Fort, Shaniwar Wada and Mysore Palace, built around a 7.5-ft idol on a carved throne. The mandal reports daily mahaprasad distribution during the festival; it has raised funds for the Kargil war effort and honours students with top academic results.
