About the mandal
Ratnagiricha Raja, at the Maruti Mandir circle, is Ratnagiri city's manacha (honoured) Ganpati, and devotees regard it as wish-fulfilling. Its idol is brought from Lalbaug, Mumbai, each year and welcomed with a large aagman procession from Salvi Stop to Maruti Mandir. It is a different mandal from the Ratnagiricha Raja at Athwada Bazar.
