Raja Tejukayacha

Tejukaya Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal in Lalbaug installs Raja Tejukayacha, an idol made from used paper. In 2019 Guinness World Records recognised its idol as the world's largest eco-friendly Ganesh idol. The idol, about 22 ft tall, is made from paper, gum and coconut husk with natural colours, and the same family of sculptors has made it since the first 14-ft Raja Tejukayacha in 1970.
