Mapusa Sarvajanik Ganpati

Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Vishwast Mandal, Mapusa, was started by freedom fighters in 1962, just after Goa's liberation. In 2022 it drew more than 10,000 devotees a day, including Christian and Muslim families and visitors from Maharashtra. It gives scholarships to 20 students at each of 17 schools in Mapusa.
