Kasba Ganpati

Kasba Ganpati is the first of Pune's five Manache Ganpati and is regarded as the city's gramadaivat, its presiding deity. Its temple idol is associated with Jijabai and the time of Shivaji, and by tradition it leads the Anant Chaturdashi immersion procession. The mandal prefers bhajans and traditional music to electronic sound, and its website lists village adoption, student sponsorship, a children's library and blood donation camps.
