About the mandal
The Gajuwaka Ganesh Utsava Committee has built very tall eco-friendly Ganesh idols in Visakhapatnam for more than a decade, including a 117-ft clay idol at Lanka Grounds in 2023. In 2024 the idol, made of bamboo, red sand, Ganga soil and grass, stood at Srinagar, and in 2025 a seated idol was made from one lakh sarees. Sources name the organiser differently.
